How many of you actually look at my art.




I'm having a hard time figuring out whether I should stay on deviantart or not...I don't really want to because it's not as...hmm...fun.  There's a whole bunch of shitty 'artists' flooding dA and it didn't used to be that way.  I feel like dA is more like fuckin photobucket than an ART site.  Sorry to make it sound like I'm hating on others' art but...I can't be the only who feels like dA's standards have lowered a million ranks. :/

Besides. None of my old friends really chat with me anymore. DeviantArt just makes me feel lonely more than it does anything else. I feel like making a tumblr for my art instead. More people appreciate the things I draw there. I feel like the people I know would only
'notice' me if I drew something MLP or neo based :/ Actually come to think of it, when I look back at the stuff I have the only things I submitted that a lot of people paid attention to are my tattoos, my neopet characters, and the one pic I did of my ponysona. Oh and also that Ben 10 Omnitrix kandi thing I made for my friend.

I dunno. I guess it sounds like I'm just 'complaining' but really I'm not trying to make it sound that way. I'm just concerned about my dA life I guess. Cause its....boring. Really boring. I remember when I used to have so much fun on dA talking and commenting on the artworks of my friends and them doing the same to me.

Well I guess I could talk about my ferret? Would people be interested in my little bundle of fat fluffiness? His name is Chester. He's about 7 months old, he's really cute and his colors are handsome and unique. He has a small white blob on his head that kinda looks like a rounded lightning bolt when his fur is smoothed down.

I've also been thinking about making essential oils and creating pretty little bottle necklaces that I can contain the oils in and then maybe I'll sell them. Right now I have a lavender essential oil in the making. I'll see how it turns out and if it turns out well then I'll look into finding teeeeeenie tiny little glass cork bottles to put the oil in. I'll decorate them with wire and maybe beads or small stone beads even and sell them.
I really think it'd be cool to own my own little shop of herbs and oils and tea mixtures and whatnot.

It's probably a stupid dream. One that I wouldn't be able to live a prosperous life with, but its what I'd be happy doing. I like making things, and I would be happy the rest of my life if I could do what I love for a living.

Anyway. I know this was more of a really weird and random journal entry but...more than likely not many people will read it so I guess it doesn't matter what I write here.

So I got back from Denver earlier today. I had been at the Denver Tech Center attending Nan Desu Kan, this was my fifth year going...and let me tell you.....it was a huge disappointment.

Indeed I did have a lot of fun and I saw a few cool cosplays that I will most likely post pictures of at some point....but overall...the con itself...was shit.

There were honestly way too many fucking people this year, so many people that they actually stopped selling badges because they were at guest capacity.
Only about half of the people actually dressed up which has NEVER happened before in the years I've been going to NDK. It had always been 95% cosplays and 5% casual dress and this year it was half and half which fucking pissed me off so much. Also...the people who did dress up....all their costumes fucking sucked dicks. There were literally only a handful of people who actually had good costumes.

Another thing about the guests, they were all so fucking rude this year. For example I was in the dealers room looking at the VALVE table My sister was on the far end of the corner we were at looking at the Assassins Creed stuff and between me and her were these two girls looking at the Wheatley and Space Core plushies saying 'Look it's GlaDOS' eye! Look another eye!' I looked at them and I kindly explained that they were cores and the blue one is Wheatley and the orange one is the Space Core. They didn't even fucking look at me and the one closest to me actually glared in my direction with a look of 'fuck off bitch' on her face.
Like fucking seriously? I was telling you what the plushies really were since your DUMBASS couldn't remember what they actually are and I was very polite about it.

The other thing about the guests this year was the fact that a lot of people were shy and/or kept to themselves and their little group of friends. Normally people flip out and get really happy and excited and want to talk to the people they recognize, as in their costumes, and they want to take pictures and get hugs. That was all out the fuckin window this year. There were people taking pictures and the occasional hug but overall it was more rare than any other year EVER. It was frieking ridiculous.

An even bigger disappointment overall for me was definitely the fact that only ONE person took a picture of me the entire weekend and I wasn't even in costume I was in line for the rave and I was wearing my Zombie killing tank, a mask, some of my kandi bracelets and a bunch of glowsticks....
I was Finn from Adventure Time on Friday and Rigby from Regular Show on Saturday and I was wearing all my Creeper stuff on Sunday, not a single picture the entire weekend until the rave...

Fucking.

REALLY?????

I don't even care if I sound modest when I say this:

I was the best Finn out of the entire weekend.

And NO ONE wanted to take a picture of me and Ash, my sister, who was Jake the dog. I would literally pass other Adventure Time cosplays in the hallway getting their picture taken and I'm standing like two feet away going, WHAT. THE. FUCK. It didn't make any fucking sense to me and it really made me upset at the people who attended NDK this year. NDK is going downhill FAST. This year and last year were the two worst years out of my 5 years attending.

I'm still going next year but if NDK 2013 isn't any better or is even worse I will seriously consider not attending NDK 2014. It's not going to be worth wasting all my time and money on costumes and preparing for a shitty ass convention.

My boss hasn't let me work in a week and a half...and I still haven't heard any word from him about letting me work any time soon....
If I were living on my own and had rent/bills to pay, needed to buy food to feed myself and whatnot....I would be fucking screwed. I'm currently looking for a new job.
